       The Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth was founded at Sancoale, Goa, in 1935 by Fr.Faustino de Souza, a diocesan priest. His aim was to fill up the lacuna that existed in Goa at that time, due to the expulsion of religious orders. He was inspired by God to perceive and act upon the pressing needs of his time- social and moral decline.
